Having started his career in investment banking at the heart of London’s financial city, Anzul’s founder Oualid Khelifi moved from financial operational risk to the wider foreign direct investment risk, focusing first on his native North Africa, then expanding gradually to the rest of the continent, and across to the Middle East.

Anzul was therefore launched as a consultancy firm, specialising in energy research and advisory, offering tailored services to UK and US based business intelligence firms. In parallel, another arm of the company was developed for institutional communication, multimedia content and consumer product marketing.

Grown to twenty five full-timers and regional consultants after a decade of trade, Anzul has delivered projects across major African and Arab economic capitals, providing market access services and positioning strategies for diverse clients in banking, fintech, mobile money, digital startups, telecoms, construction, oil & gas, commodities, cosmetics, agro-foods, lifestyle and textile. Anzul’s work has received several distinguished awards for assignments carried on behalf of private sector investors and international institutions.

Oualid Khelifi is a first-class systems engineering graduate, holding a masters in artificial intelligence from University of Bristol (UK) and University of California San Diego (US). He is a fluent English, Arabic and French speaker, and has a business mastership in Spanish.
